2025/2026 Editorial Board
Adam Kasti
Adam Kasti is the other Editor-in-Chief of Araneum for the 2025-2026 academic year. He is a double major in Political Science and Leadership Studies with minors in History and Music. Adam is a Senator on the Richmond College Student Government Association and the Founder and President of the Video Game Orchestra. His areas of interest include political theory and American politics. In his free time, Adam arranges and composes music, as well as reading and studying history.
Kyle Giardine
Kyle is one of the Editors-in-Chief of the journal for the 2025-2026 academic year. He is a member of the Class of 2026 and is majoring in Political Science with minors in Economics (A&S) and Mathematics. Kyle serves as a Policy Program Associate for the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement. In his free time, he enjoys playing pickup soccer or hiking nearby nature trails.
Emerson Linden
Emerson is the Production Editor of the journal. She is a member of the Class of 2026 and is double majoring in Political Science and Leadership Studies. Emerson also works as a consultant in the Writing Center and spends her summers working with legal aid organizations. In her free time, she loves to read, go to concerts, and take walks along the James River.
Asa Mahn
Asa Mahn is the Marketing Editor of the journal. He intends to major in PPEL and Global Studies, with concentrations in Politics. He also serves on the University President's Student Advisory Board and the Richmond College Student Government Association, and is a tour guide. In his free time, he loves playing pickup sports and hiking.
Mariam Shaikh
Mariam is the Peer Review Liaison for the journal. She is a member of the Class of 2028 and is double majoring in Political Science and Economics. Her research interests include public policy, political polarization, and international relations. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new places with friends and playing tennis.
